In recent years, turbulent changes in the business environment have taken place. The globalization processes that occurred, mainly in the 1990’s, significantly affected the functioning of enterprises. Consequently, the growing instability in the market ensued, requiring a different look at corporate finance. In an unstable world, a need to verify and reconsider the tools used in more stable times arises. These tools, which worked well, for
example, before 2007, now may be ineffective.
The activities of each and any company should be subordinated to its purpose. This purpose is usually to make money. Owners make decisions about setting up a business, and invest money expecting to make a profit as a result of its production and sales. All employees of the company directly or indirectly contribute to affect the achievement of this purpose.
It is therefore important to be aware of the different issues related to the acquisition and multiplication of money, which are generally described by the corporate finance.
